This statement is provided according to the provisions of the Data Protection Act, 2019. It seeks your affirmative consent to provide personal and/or sensitive personal information for the purposes of effecting a contract, establishing a legal relationship, or complying with a statutory requirement.

This section informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal and sensitive personal information we receive from you.

Your privacy is important to Molars. Molars is committed to making reasonable efforts to ensure that any personal and/or sensitive personal information in our possession or received on our behalf is kept confidential, stored securely, and processed in accordance with Kenyan law and authorized purposes.

Herein, “Molars” refers to Molars Dental Practice Limited and/or its affiliates.

Definitions

Personal information means identifiable information that may include, but is not limited to, your name, identification details, postal address, residential address, tax identification number, telephone/mobile number, age, sex, gender, and next of kin/family particulars.

Sensitive personal information means data revealing a natural person’s race, health status, ethnic or social origin, conscience, belief, genetic data, biometric data, property details, marital status, family details (including names of the person’s children, parents, spouse(s)), sex, or sexual orientation.

Collection of Personal Information/Sensitive Personal Information

We collect your personal and/or sensitive personal information with your knowledge and consent. Molars will only collect information necessary for fulfilling our contractual obligations and complying with the laws of Kenya.

Use of Personal Information/Sensitive Personal Information

We use your personal and/or sensitive personal information only for purposes related to the legal relationship between you and Molars.

Your data may be shared with third-party institutions and underwriters who may collect, store, and process your information on behalf of Molars. These entities are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and apply appropriate safeguards to prevent unauthorized disclosure.

The security of your personal and/or sensitive personal information is important to us. We use legally and commercially acceptable means to protect your data.

Your personal and/or sensitive personal data will be stored following record retention requirements under Molars’ policies and applicable Kenyan laws.
